I understand that the Savage needs to get her oil up and running before putting her through her paces, and I've tried to be good to her each morning. But, when you say, "warm up you engine for several minutes before you ride," do you mean you start your bike and let it sit idling, literally, for several minutes? I was under the impression that it was sufficient to give it 30 seconds or so and then take off easy and slow for the first several miles.
